"The beautiful, mystical earth spirit of the Lakota was the inspiration for this painting. Pte San Win (White Buffalo Calf Woman) brought the Lakota their sacred pipe ceremonies that they were to perform in their spiritually inspired culture. The Lakota understood that everything had spirit: the animals, the plants, rock and water, earth and fire. All are connected energetically to each other, to man and the creator."
