Two Trains and Alexandra Bridge
The trains are northbound on opposite sides of the Fraser Canyon. The nearer Canadian National 'Mikado' type is headed for the railway's division point at Boston Bar about 14 miles further up the canyon. The Canadian Pacific freight, also drawn by a Mikado, will reach North Bend at about the same time. The bridge was part of the old Canyon Road which was replaced by the Trans Canada Highway in 1960 and has survived as part of a Provincial Park named after it. Only traces of the road remain.
